Rylee Marie Fraughton

It's crazy how in the 9 months leading up to Rylee being born the days dragged on. Now that she is here snuggled on My chest I cannot believe it! It seems time has flown by. Except when I'm pumping, then time drags on FOREVER!!!
There's that's saying "The days are long but the weeks are short." This holds very true to Me.
I think with having a misscarrige right before We became pregnant with Rylee made this pregnacy feel even longer because I had already been pregnant for 8 weeks then waiting the week and a half before actually passing the baby and then the month between the two pregancys it feel like I was pregnant for a whole year.
Any who, I had it in My head that 37 weeks was a magic number so when I hit  37 weeks and no baby then 38 weeks no baby I was So done. I cramped a lot this pregnacy but in the last two weeks it was really hurting and I thought I was going I to labor so many times. So finally when 39 weeks hit I was extra done and ready to have Her.
We were getting induced on December first and the had Me call in the mourning to see if they had an available room. So We called at 6:00 am and they said to call back at 10:00. I immediately started crying and was very grumpy. I had been up with contractions most of the night and I was not in a good place. Finally 10:00 arrived and I called and they said to come on down. I was so elated!!
We got to the hospital and they started Me on potocin then at 12:30 the doctor tour came in and broke My water the next two hours were awful! The contractions got so bad so finally at 2:30 I asked for My epidural. Though He was in the middle of someone else spinal tap   So He didn't get there til 3:00. By 3:30 I was in Heaven. Epidurals... Those babies are fabulous! I'm not the best feeling to get one but once it's in... Ahh pure bliss.
A few minutes after My epidural kicked in I felt pressure a lot of it! So My nurse checked Me and was like You're complete and at 9 cm!! Baby is engaged! She called the doctor and 4:15 and only 6 minutes of pushing Rylee Maire Fraughton was here!
It was so nice compared to the 3 hours of pushing I did with Ruger!
She came into the world pissed off and pooped on Me.
Her stats were 6.5 lbs and 18.5 in. Our little baby girl.

She is gorgeous and were so in love! Rylee is the best baby she only cries when hungry or needs a diaper change oh and when you un swaddle Her.

Ruger came the following day to come meet His sister. It went really well! Though  He had a hard time with the fact that Rylee wasn't still in My stomach.

He wanted to hold Rylee and have Her lots of kisses. Though I think His favorite part was eating Cheetos and cuddling Me. We sure missed each other.

It was heartbreaking when it was time for Ruger to leave. He started to cry for Me and it made Me cry. At this point We had been apart for two nights which is the longest We've been apart. Clayton took Him out crying out for Me, thinking of it still makes Me tear up.
When We got home from the hospital My family was waiting Here for Us. Ruger ran out to see Us and pulled My hand all the way up to our apartment.
Ruger loves Rylee. He always asks to hold Her. He tells as soon as see starts to cry. Or Say Rylee I'm coming!!! He is such a big help!!

Clayton is smitten with His baby girl. Ive never seen Him take more pictures in My life!! I think We are in for a long ride when she can talk and ask for things. It warms My heart melts seeing Him be a Daddy, but even more so a Daddy to His little girl!
All in all were all doing really good. We're so blessed to have Our healthy baby girl with Us. We have had so much help with meals, concern, help with Ruger and with the nights with Rylee. We're so greatful for everyone!! We also thank Heavenly Father for all that above and much much more!!

Halloween 2014

I think its just the fact that I haven't felt well this pregnancy, that I have been so lame at picture taking. So this year I got three pictures of Rue decorating His pumpkin. The pictures are awful He is squinting because of the blinds and is basically naked. I wish I would have gotten a better one but It is was it is. I didn't even get a picture of Clayton's pumpkin which was really cool and to top it off I didn't even do a pumpkin. I know I am lame. There is always next year right?

When We were at Thanksgiving Point a few weeks ago Ruger saw a painted blue pumpkin. So of course He wanted to have His own blue pumpkin. It was all good by Me. Painting was much more clean then carving, though I am curious if He would have been as grossed out has He was last year.

Halloween was a different experience this year. Once We told Ruger how to tick or treat (We were actually at a Trunk or Treat which I LOVE!! So much better then normal Trick of Treating.) He was all about it. He wouldn't let Us touch His pumpkin bucket let alone help Him carry it. It was adorable watching Him walk to each car and say trick or treat and get super excited.

When we got in the car He was super adamant about His spooky pumpkin sitting right next to Him. I think He was listening to Me when I was talking to Clayton about sneaking candy out while He wasn't looking so He wouldn't eat so much sugar. I think little ones pay attention way more then We realize. Ruger was in candy Heaven. Since We really try not to do to much sugar, He was beyond thrilled to have a bucket full, and full it was. When We got to My Aunts He sat on the couch with My Mom and had to taste everything.

I was really bummed at first when Rue didn't want to dress up at all. So We ended up dressing as Deer Hunters and a Deer. When I was first getting ideas ready I bought some antlers and Clayton was like So you're going to be a pregnant buck?? I was like you don't have to take it so literal. So when He got home and saw my make up (no antlers) He was like so no your a pregnant fawn? (because of the white dots on My face) I was like SERIOUSLY!!! I guess that's what you get when you're married to a Hunter.

Fall Fun

The biggest perk of living in Utah for Me is the Mountains. We love going up the Canyon. Though Fall time is an extra magical time. The colors the cool air I LOVE ALL OF IT! We took several drives this year.

There is a guy in My Mom's home ward that We know Name Aarron Drussel and He is always throwing fun parties for His real estate group and friends. They are always so fun and We are so glad to be apart of it. For Halloween they did a party at a park it was so fun there were games, food, pumpkins and a little critter show.  Notice Ruger's face in the large frame, grrr I swear it is nearly impossible to get that kid to smile normal. Oh well right? Kids will be kids.

We were playing in the park a part of the time and Hinton hadn't even touched His sloppy Joe. I was about to just throw it away when Clayton brought My attention to a homeless guy sitting at a picnic table near by. Clayton was a little shy at first and I could tell a little timid to walk over to the man. He did though and the Man was SO appreciative. He was so excited for that sloppy joe and told Clayton Thank you and how good of guy He is. I am super Lucky to have such a great guy in My life. Who though may be a little timid is ALWAYS looking out for others.

I was a little bothered about Myself and not even having the thought to share the food before throwing it away. I think I get so busy and so focused on the next task at hand. This really made Me try and to slow down and take the time not only to notice more that is going on around Me, but also so enjoy everything a little more.

We also went to the little farm at Thanksgiving Point this Fall. We went with My Sister's in Laws, Jenny and Nichole and their kids. I am lame I realize and not only didn't get very many pictures but I also did get very many pictures of the cousins interacting. The Farm was so cute and the kids had such a fun time. Though Ruger wasn't a fan of the little horses in the corals. Though My niece Zoey that is a few months younger then Rue was all about the Horses that little girl has NO fear I tell ya, good luck with that Nichole;)

Ruger has a fear of big animals for whatever reason. Much to Clayton's dismay. I am sure it is something He will grow out of. At one point We walked by some goats and the goat was just standing there not moving and when Rue noticed it He screamed like it had jumped out at Him. I laughed, I know not very nice of Me.

I bought a pass to Thanksgiving Point for Me and Rue (Clayton can't go as often as We can, and when he does I can get Him in half off). So We have been trying to take advantage of it. So a week of two ago We finally went to the new Children s Museum.

It was so fun. The have a few different rooms all with different themes. My favorite was the room is the one that looked like a town. It had a bank, library, Vet shop, and way more. We really enjoyed going and I am sure will be going back soon.

Rue was even able to do a little zip lining outside. Though His favorite part was the train room where you get to move the by peddling with your arms. The train will come over your head, and threw the other rooms.

So that is a few of the things We have been up to this Fall.

Hee Haws

We wanted to do one a big family activity this fall with the family (Wiggins & Wardells) We ended up going to Hee Haws in Pleasant Grove. It was super fun. They had a little petting zoo ( which Ruger wasn't a fan of much to Clayton's dismay) a big potato slide, hay ride, little kiddo games, a corn maze which we all got SUPER lost I actually had the thought are we EVER getting out of here!! We did no worried ;) It was so fun I love the cool weather it brings with it an excitement of all the Holidays and Family memories to come!!

After wards We headed back to the Wardells for Doughnuts and Hot Coco.

Happy Fall Y'all!! Bring on the sweaters, hot coco, and pumpkin everything!

Summer Days

I love summer except the whole its super hot part;) Though I love going outside and spending time outside summer evenings are the BEST. Plus having a boy means outdoors is a must so that's what we've done.

Here is a few of the things We've have done this Summer.

First of all We got a little kiddie pool for this Summer and it was such a good purchase. Rue isn't a fan of getting wet but this pool has helped Him ease into it.

We went up to Cascade Springs and Rue LOVED it. I think He gotten Clayton and I's love for the outdoors! It really is so beautiful up there, hopefully We can make another trip in the fall to see all the colors!

Clayton's work party was at the Zoo this year and I am so very glad We went. It was nice to put names to faces of all His co workers and the Zoo did some more renovations since We had been last so it was fun to see all the new stuff. Clayton's brother and girlfriend also came so it was fun to have so quality time with them. One of Clayton's coworkers named Megan spoiled Rue with lots of treats which I am sure was His favorite part!

My Dad's work also did a work party at the Living Planet Aquarium which We got to tag along to. We had been once before but I love LOVE aquariums so we took the chance to go again.

We did a play date with My best friend from High School and Her Daughter, to the Provo Beach Resort. It was such a fun little place, it had a little Jungle gym and carousel. They had more but that's all We did and it was so fun though next time We wont do the BIG jungle gym (not pictured) because a pregnant lady with toddler attached to Her hip climb up obstacles three stories high wasn't a pretty sight;)

One of the most exciting things this summer was finding out We are having a GIRL!! So very excited!!! We have decided on the name Rylee Liane (leeanne) Fraughton. Liane for My mom and Clayton's mom combined (lisa & Diane).

After finding out what we were having the second most exciting summer event was my best friend Logen came for a visit all the way from Canada. It was a short trip but I am so very glad She saved a couple hours for Me in the short time She was here!!

Two of Ruger's favorite people are My younger sibling Hinton and Daisy. So every so often We have them over for a sleepover and Ruger is in HEAVEN the whole time. We took the to Nickle Cade and Sodalicous. Ruger was SO VERY excited to get is very own cup. We love our time together and so glad Ruger gets to have such a great bond with His Aunt and Uncle:)

Well that was just a few of the things We were up to this Summer! Now on to the FALL!:)

Atkins Family Reunion

Can I just say what A difference a year makes? Last year was Ruger's first camping trip when We went to the Atkin Family Reunion and this year was much better. This year actually listened to Me and was playing with all His cousins and it made for a much better experience.

We got there around lunch time Friday and first We set up camp. Then all the boys were itching to go fishing so off We headed to Strawberry Reservoir. I love Strawberry its beautiful the only downside is that there is NO shade. We made the best of it though! Clayton HAD to go get Ruger is very own fishing pole. It had this fake fish on the end that you could cast out and reel in. Grandma Atkins was trying to show Rue this and Ruger thought she was throwing His fishy away and had a few mini melt downs. Ruger is just like His daddy though and LOVES the fishing experience but throwing the rocks still has the number one place in His heart.

We also caught crawdads and it was SO fun seeing My niece and nephew ewwwing and squealing once the had the crawdads in the net. It was funny Uncle Nic called Rue and Zoey over to see the crawdads and Rue was quick to FREAK out but Zoey (who is 6-ish months younger) was all I wanna see Dad!

I have to say that seeing Rug and Clayton interact is one of My FAVORITE things! It just melts My heart... I know that Clayton is so glad to have His boy where they can bond over everything and anything boy. I don't think its an issue of them not ever liking the same things because Rue is into anything Daddy is.

Beside the whole NO shade thing its really is beautiful and was wonderful place to fish.

After fishing We went back and ate and then tired to take a nap...HA yeah tying to get a kid to take a nap in a tent and out in the "wilderness" is a JOKE. Though Clayton let me take one and took Rue to go play with His cousins.

Speaking of cousins I loved seeing them all play together. I think they love that Rue is to a playing stage and not the baby stage like last year. I love seeing the bond of cousins form. Some of My fondest memories are with My cousins along with some of My best friends today are My cousins. So seeing these interrelationship blossom melts My heart.

Who knew water could be so exciting!

The rest of the time was spent playing games eating lots of food. Rue had WAY to much sugar but I don't regret it one but because it was a blast and it was so fun just to spend time with family.

I had to post these pictures even though most of them are blurry but there were worth sharing...
1. Clayton laughing while playing horse shoes...
2. Ruger let Uncle Nic HOLD HIM this was monumental!
3. By the Lake there is the cutest General Store and it HAS AMAZING Fudge:)
4. Jenny photo bombed Us and had to post ;) Rue isn't drunk I Promise not as for a sugar high I can't deny that...

As always it was such a FUN reunion and I am so glad We went. I am not sure if We will go next year though because the thought of chasing a little 7 month old doesn't sound very fun at all ;)

Camping Salamander Flats 2014

We went camping twice this year. The first time was with My family and We went up to Salamander Flats up American Fork Canyon. It was nice except it was SO dusty and extremely hot between the hours or 10-5 other then that it was a blast :)

Back to Dusty part it literally just dirt everywhere which meant kid HEAVEN!! Not so much for this Mom. Though I am learning its OK for kids to get dirty...I mean its hard for me not to hurry and wipe the dirt away but I am getting better and this place made it easier because I didn't want to constantly be wiping Ruger down.

I love Camping, the outdoors the way time doesn't run our life's. Having nothing to do but what you want. Which for Us is family time, hikes and of course yummy food.

Its no secret these two are best buds. Though I LOVE capturing the moments of them bonding:)

I love My dad. He can always make any situation fun but He can also make anything into a spiritual moment and making it fun for the kids. The second night We were there We were sitting around the fire and My dad told the first half of the story of Joesph Smith. The next morning We got up and He finished the story up to the point where Joesph went and found the scriptures. So We all went on a little hike and found a little box that had been painted to look like rock. There was a small copy of The Book Of Mormon, Urim and Thummim (glass stones) and a picture of Joseph Smith.

It was a great trip besides the dust and heat ;) Though next time I don't think I will be going camping while being pregnant because air mattress, migraines and heat don't mix well. Other then that We made great memories.

Rue turned Two

I know its so Cliche to say I can't believe that My child is two, but I CANT FLIPPING BELIEVE RUE IS TWO!! I think part of it is that I am emotional due to pregnancy but I'm having a hard time accepting He is already two. My mom keeps reminding Me another little one is on the way so Its ok Rue is getting bigger. Don't get Me wrong, I LOVE the little Man Ruger is growing into. He has His own independence, smart, funny and such His own Person.

Ruger is such a boy. If he think He can climb it or jump off of it He will, or at least try before a terrified Mom stops the adventure. Ruger is ALWAYS making messes. I mean I feel like every time I turn around He is into something or dumped something. I just laugh and take a picture. I find His expressions after to funny to be mad at.

More on to Ruger. It amazes Me how much He is learning, It seems like every few days He learns a new phrase or word. Ruger is SO sweet. If someone is crying He is quick to comfort them "With It's ok! You Ok.". I love it. He loves to share though not always His strong suit.

Rue had a few first the last 6 months. ( See previous post on the Rodeo and Bowling) We took Him to the Movies for the first time. Well second the first He as like just over a year and it didn't last more the 20 mins, Time We made it and He was happy He got a little figity at the last 20 mins but still did great. Though we were trying to keep Him sitting down the last few minutes so we detracted with Candy bad Idea since it was almost 10 and He had a SUGAR RUSH once we got Him home. Clayton asked what Is with Him?! I told him you can't blame Rue We did this to him ;)

Some of  Ruger's Favorites:
  • Ruger LOVES His Papa. He loves ALL his Grandpas but I have to say He is super close with My Dad. He asks to go See Him at least once a day. Clayton always ask How I know which Grandpa He was talking about. I say because If I ask who else He say and HINTON!! Though when He is with His Grandpa's Fraughton and Atkins He adores Every minute with them!
  • Ruger is into Cars, Pirates, Mare Manes (Air Planes) and any kind of sports ball (well anything He can throw).
  • Rocks! If we drive by some where, where you clearly see rocks He is quick to yell "Mom, Mom, ROCK!!!." as if its the coolest rock He has ever seen. He also HAS to throw them. Its like a uncontrollable urge.
  • Rue has to go to bed with Pillow, Manny (stuff animal), blanket, sippy cup, B (binki) we are working on getting rid of it, and a story. His favorite at the moment is NO DAVID.
  • Berries. This is kid LOVES fruit and will eat most of it if you tell Him its a berry.
  • Food: Crackers and Cheese, chips, yogurt and anything sugar.
Ruger's LEAST Favorite:
  • The word NO. It will undoubtedly and immediately follow with the most perfected pout.
  • Washing His hair. LOVES baths just not the getting clean part.
  • Any green Veggies.
  • Being the one not to leave. If one of Us hows to leave He isn't happy at ALL.
Words that He says wrong but its so adorable I can't correct Him. Mare Mane (Air Plane), Bic (chip), Out (for UP), and Bawk (Jump).

We Love our Little Man. I hate how time is flying but I am so Glad We get to experience it with you!

Ruger's Second Birthday Party, Bowling, and Rodeo

I was dead set on not having a Birthday Party for Ruger. Not that I don't LOVE throwing parties because to be perfectly honestly I LOVE IT. Though while being pregnant and not feeling well it was just not in the cards. I was simply just going to do cake and ice cream and call it good. That wasn't going to cut it for Derrick and Jessica. They decided that they would take charge of the party planning. They were awesome.

So We had a Jake and the Never Land Pirates party. They brought decorations, cake *which RUE freaked out about and even dived in before We could stop Him*. I am so grateful to them!! Thank you for everyone who came and did gifts it was so sweet (and for all the other loved ones who brought presents other days).

We also wanted to do a special date half for Ruger's birthday and half for just because. So we chose bowling. I have to admit I was feeling like a lot of Rue's "Firsts" were gone but this outing reminded ME that there are A LOT of "firsts" to come:)

Bowling was A hit. That is as long as He was the one bowling and NOT one of His parents. It should have been a perfect time for sharing and taking turns but I was just enjoying Him having fun. The first time His bowling ball went down I was saying "oh oh is it going to hit it?" So naturally That was His reaction for the rest of the time LOVE IT!

I have those reactions BUT they are sideways on the computer so when I figure out how to correct that I will fix it:)

We also were able to take Ruger to His first Rodeo. I honestly didn't want to go. I just imagined chasing Ruger all over the rodeo grounds and Him falling threw the benches. To My surprise He did very well! We did have great seats on the front row which gave Rue the perfect amount of running around space while staying some what confined.

I think Clayton was a bit disappointed that Ruger wasn't as excited about the animals...to be honest He really didn't care for them. He liked the motorcycles and the Rocks He could throw. I mean seriously give this kid a rock and He is in Heaven. Though we did capture these reactions to the motorcycles which prove He had a good time.

Florida

We went to Florida last month. It was so fun! We left on a Sunday and came back the next Saturday. It wasn't a super long trip but It was much needed and so much fun! I LOVED having Clayton for the week. It was so fun not having anything we HAD to do.

This was Ruger's second flight. I was super nervous because Rue isn't a sit still kind of boy. He is a hyper got move kind of boy. I had a bag full of tricks to keep Him occupied and it really worked! The only time He got upset was while walking on to the Air Plane. He hated that. We got a two different looks while boarding. It was either a sympathetic smile or a eye roll of OH GREAT! Though on the end of all the flights We got tons of compliments, on how well He did. Even the eye rollers gave Him compliments. Gee thanks ;)

We got in pretty late, So I was excited that Along with My Dad, My Uncles John and Tommy Were there to greet Us when we Landed.  Since It was pretty Late We just went to My Aunt Tammy and Uncles Johns house to settle in. They were so wonderful to host Us for the week so THANK YOU!!

Monday was just a chill kinda of Day. We went swimming, caught some frogs. Mostly We just enjoyed family time. I have to say Ruger's favorite thing to do was Ride in the golf carts.  Ruger loves anything with wheels and that makes noise;)

I honestly just loved just chilling. Florida was so warm and just beautiful! I hadn't been to Florida since I was 15 or 16 so it was so nice to be back. To see all my Family that I hadn't seen in several years!

Tuesday all the boys went out for guy day and all the girls went out for some girl time. The boys went to a movie, lunch and of course the Gun Store. Us girls went shopping and went out for Lunch. Ruger to My surprise loved the Huge fake Alligator!!

Tuesday night We had a big family Dinner and We had the missionary's over. Some of them were even from Utah. I happened to make The Nuts about berry Salad from Zupas and the Sisters were SO very excited for it!! I was glad to bring something they were so excited for. It was so fun having a big family Dinner which We had every night but two. I just love Family time.

Ruger loved exploring My Grandparents. My Grandma is a collector of everything. I love walking around and looking at her house. There is so much to see. They have so many candy dishes around the house. So I can give you a guess of where I would find Ruger most of the time....

We are a Popcorn LOVING family. It was very happy to find out that Grammpy & Grammy are popcorn lovers as well. The only picture I got was blurry:( but at least its documented a little.

Clayton loves to hunt or really anything outside. So when He heard there were Armadillo problems and they have to shoot them, can you guess who volunteered? Yep Clayton was out there in a heartbeat. One of the nights Lauren joined in on the fun too.

Wednesday & Thursday we went down to St. Augustine and stayed in a Condo for two nights.  On the way down Clayton and I rode down with My Grandparents while Ruger rode with His. It was fun to hear all there stories and have a nice road trip with out having to entertain Ruger, no offense to Him.

It was Ruger and Clayton's first time at the beach! Its safe to say they both loved it!! Rue wasn't sure at first, but after a few minutes He was having a ball! We walked to the beach for just a few minutes to check it out for a while and then went back after We all got changed.

After so a little while Rue was so tired and Clayton wasn't ready to leave the Ocean just yet, So I took Rue back for a bath and nap and Clayton and My Dad stayed to enjoy the beach. After about two hours I finally had to go get them so We could all go out to dinner. When I found them they were so FAR down the beach. I am glad they were having fun but I was starving and so was everyone else so We all headed back to the Condo to go out to eat.

Here is the view from our Condo:

We went to the Salt Water Cowboys. It was such a cool location and everyone except Hinton tired the gator tail. It was surprisingly really good! The food Clayton and I got was actually pretty good, though Lauren and a piece of dish rag in Her burger so I think that ruined the experience for Her. My parents paid for the whole meal and it was very sweet! Thanks Mom and Dad!

After dinner We headed back to the condo for a night of relaxing and fun. The next morning We all got up and got ready to head into Down Town St. Augustine. I love LOVE it down there. There is a lot of old historic buildings and all these little adorable shops. We enjoyed some yummy food and SHOPPING:) Rue and Clayts favorite shop was the hat shop and Ruger was very excited to pick out his own hat.

After shopping We went back to the beach. Rue didn't miss a beat and went right back to having fun. That is until a wave (very small wave) pushed Him down and He got soaked. Though once His Aunt Daisy, Uncle Hinton and My cousin Kimbers little girls got down to the beach He had forgot the "traumatic" experience. My Aunt Cheri Also joined in the Beach Day fun.

That night My Parents watched Ruger so We got go Star gazing on the beach! It was so romantic and relaxing! Then the following Morning we were able to go enjoy the sunrise and see dolphins! It was fun to just enjoy the beauty and have some alone time.

The next day (Friday) We got the condo all packed up and then headed to go check out Fort Manataza and take a Ferry ride. It was really cool. Coming up to the fort it didn't look like much but it was a lot bigger then I thought and cool to hear  stories from way back then was really interesting.

The rest of the time We just hung out and had one last family dinner. It was so good to have such quality time with My family and also with My extended family! The Plane ride back was great and We made it home safely. We were exhausted the next day but it was all worth it:)
