Christmas take two

Sicnce Christmas is always booked We do a second Christmas with Clayton's Dad's family the Atkins. This year We did something new and did a sleepover and Grandma and Grandpa Atkins house the night before. We had so much fun, playing games, eating yummy food and making Ugly Christmas Sweater Cookies.

We got up and had a super yummy breakfast and then opened presents. The rest of the day was playing, talking and relaxing. I love this tradition, it makes Christmas last longer!

Christmas

Christmas was a Little different this year. Normally we spend the night with The Wiggins family. This year it was jut the four of Us. It was way different, going at our own pace but it was good. We ended waking Ruger, because Rylee woke up at 6:00 a.m.

So Christmas morning was so fun until...I went to get a present from behind the tree and saw something that resembled a BB gun. OK first of all a little back story. Clayton and I had the conversation where We (mostly I ) decided that eight years old was a good age to get your first gun, (BB) I think if your accountable before the Lord then you can be accountable for supervised use of your own BB gun. Any who I was feeling bad that Clayton  really wanted to get Ruger a BB gun. So I went and got a cap gun (per Grandma Fraughtons suggestion) I was so excited that I told Clayton you can say its just for you. He was like oh no its totally ok It can be from you...I was like ok. It will be from Us. We had the discussion with Ruger that when He was older He could get a big gun, ( HE had been asking for one just like Daddy) and left it at that. 

So back to Christmas morning, I pull out the package. Ruger was so excited and opened it up. He was so excited and was like MOM I AM BIGGER!!  I'm not going to lie, I was pretty mad. All the family that knew, which was a lot, Where so surprised that Clayton was alive and still breathing... 

Christmas morning We had breakfast with the Wiggins family. Breakfast pizza as always...so yummy! Ruger was the best little helper. I know it slowed My dad WAY down but I am so glad He let Ruger join in. The way He looked at Him says everything. It snowed like CRAZY over night! I was happy/relived. Every time it snowed in December Ruger would say its CHRISTMAS! So I am so excited He got a white Christmas.

Christmas Day is always Fraughton Family time. We do a sibling/cousin gift exchange. We eat snacks and grandmas french toast all day, and just hang out. Of course We talked to Dallen who serving a full time mission. Rylee was super sick Christmas Day. She had a high fever and  tired. I dont think Grandma or Rylee minded the cuddles. Though I have to say I think everyone else got more cuddles then Me. 

Christmas Eve

This year was so magical. As you get older I think Christmas loses a little bit of the "magic". Then you have kids and it gets a little "magic" comes back and THEN when they understand Christmas more and have that anticipation... Like asking a MILLION times if Santa is coming tonight? Then the "magic" comes out full force. I think We more excited then Ruger and that is saying A LOT because Ruger was very excited. It might not help that We decorated the 15th of November. 

Christmas Eve has always been The Wiggins family holiday. Our family really enjoys it. We all get together friends and family for a Christmas Eve party. Then Santa stomps on the roof and Rudolph shines His nose outside and it send the kids into a hurry to bed. It was seriously so fun to see Rugers eye light up and run to the window to see. 

We are keeping the Tradition of get pajamas for Christmas. These to cuties just melt My heart.

One of My favortie things of Christmas Eve was when I put Ruger to bed and He looked up at ME and said: WAKE ME UP AS SOON AS SANTA COMES..OK!?! (The next morning He was just a little disappointed He didn't get to see Santa;) 

After the kids were settled Clayton an I put on a Christmas movie and I put all the presents around the tree and Clayton set up Ruger's train set. 

Christmas Eve- Eve

I wish I could say I did this little playtime/sleepover, because the kids were antsy and wanted to waste time. It was mostly because I was so dang excited and wanted to waste time. The kids were antsy to;) 

So with Christmas Eve a day a way I took Ruger, Hinton, Daisy and Anna to Provo Beach Resort. They had a blast! I think the best parts were when Ruger was up at the top of the playground and I hear THIS IS AWESOME! Second was when I climbed up to the top where He was. He turned and saw Me and got the BIGGEST grin! It was pretty fun and a work out...its a couple stories high and basically a optical course.  They have so much more rope course, bowling, arcade, play place, laser tag, mini golf, and a toddler town. So if you haven't gone you need to. Especially in the winter.

After That the kiddos came over for a sleepover. We had a crumb cake (one of my new favorites) and a hot coco sampler. It was a great way to keep Us busy. 

We finished the night Sparkling Cider and white chocolate Christmas trees, 

Christmas Activities

December is a CRAZY month...all the parties and get-togethers and now Rylees birthday in the mix. Through all the craziness it still My favorite time of the year.

First Up We had the Atikin Christmas party. This year was just has awesome as all the others. We have dinner and talk. Then We have our Raffle and it more then just wining stuff. Its watching how everyone gets SO into it, Me included;) We had the party at Tooele Ut, Boys and Girls Club. They had ping pong tables,hockey tables, and roller skates so the kids really enjoyed it.
The kids both saw Santa. Ruger actually sat on Santa's Lap! I was so surprised.

 After The party some of Us jumped in Grandpa Atkins truck and went to the Olympic Oval to the light show there. IT was My favorite drive threw light show. Ruger LOVED it, and Rylee slept threw it;)

We did an extra family Christmas Party with the Wiggin & Wardell Clan. We decided to an extra one Because My Aunt Jenny was in town. We had an UGLY Sweater contest. I have to say I like how outs turned out. Though they were probably more cute-ugly. I did have to explain that its was a reindeer throwing up candy. We played some minute to win it games. The Coveted price was Faygo...One of our family sodas that until recently you could only get back east.

We got the whole Fraughton Family together (minus Kolten who had to work and Dallen who serving a mission) to Temple Square. We also got to meet Trent, Tiffanys new guy. Which WE ALL approve;) We took Trax up and Ruger thought it was THE best thing ever. He is super into train right now.  On the way home He fell asleep on the train...to much fun I guess.

We went to dinner and let the kiddos play at the play place in City Creek. Then We went to see the lights around temple. If you haven't done it yet it is a MUST. SO pretty! Rylee was exhausted and a lot of the family members help carry Her all over, My arms thank you! I love all the family time!It seriously is the best seeing Ruger interact  with His cousins. You cant beat that bond!

Rylees ONE!

Rylee is one...that is so weird. They say the more kids you have the faster it goes and it really makes Me want to cry at times, and others I love how independent and the little girl She is turning into. Rylee is so funny. She is all about what she wants and if she doesn't get well..She will let you know. She is so Dramatic but also has a the biggest heart. I mean has soon has everyone someone starts crying shes there to try and comfort. One of the best examples of this was when Ruger and Rylee is were getting their Flu shots. Rylee went first was upset and crying. Then Ruger got His and started crying and Rylee stopped and leaned over and hugged Ruger and it just melted My heart. 

For Rylees party I wanted to do a Dance off. Rylee is constantly dancing.  So We had the family over to Grandma and Grandpa Fraughtons and had dance off! It was good. Except Rylee had croup and was kinda grumpy. Since she wasn't' feeling good I didn't want Her to have to much sugar so after a few minutes I took Her mini cake away (by the way it was fresh market I tired to make one and it failed miserably!!) when I took it away she cried hysterically and Grandma Wiggins wouldn't let slide so she gave it right back... Thanks Grandma...

For the Decorations I went with Pink and Gold We had two grand prizes and "metals" and My Moms famous sugar cookies for party favors.  While I was Cleaning up My Nephew Cooper said; AWE I wish this party could last forever, so in his book I think the party was pretty fun. It was a good night but I was glad it was over...I kind become a Nazi while party planning ;)

Pie Day

Since the holidays are always Crazy We do a get-together with the Atkins family the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  It was good as always. The great-grand-kids all got another Nut Cracker form Nana and Poppie to add to their collection. We also did skrinky dinks...and surprising We all Adults included got really into haha.

Thanksgiving 2015

This year We had Thanksgiving with My family, and the first time in a long time We had a later Thanksgiving, which was kinda weird. Since We had a lot of time on our hands before dinner after Clayton played football We went to the movie and saw Hotel Transylvanian 2 which was super cute! It was Rylee's first thanksgiving and she wasn't disappointed, She loves food and there was plenty of it:) I think Rugers favorite thing was that Grandma Wiggins got Ruger a bowl of marshmallows (Earlier in the week We were at Grandma Fraughtons and Ruger saw a bag of marshmallows and was sad that they were Thanksgiving dinner).

It was Our first Black Friday Shopping experience. After Clayton and I went out for a couple hours I went and joined My Mom's annual black Friday event. It was super fun, We went to dinner and then Went to My cousins to wrap all our goodies. It was a fun night.

Armsworthy Visit

When Friends are connected By the heart, distance cant break them apart. Seriously though I have never had a friend that I am more connected to and We just get each other. The fact that our Husbands are now becoming close friends is just Icing on the cake.

Its kinda become tradition that when the Armsworthys come to visit the guys will go out and go shooting. While Logen and I just hang out with the kiddos. Then We usually go do something fun all together. This time was super fun because We both had babies in between seeing each other last so We got to introduce them at the same time. 

Ruger and Linken are the best of buds ant spent the whole time together. Now When We pass somewhere We went with them, Ruger asks if We can see link and Brooke again.
