The Zoo
Yesterday was Ruger's first Zoo visit!! It was a blast!! The new Rocky Shore's addition really blew us all away! It was so fun to watch the sea lions and polar bear! If you haven't gone I HIGHLY recommend it.

My little man. Your growing so fast. It makes me sad at times, and at the same time your becoming your own person and it make everything more fun!

For Spring break the Fraughton Clan decided to have a Staycation. We started the trip off going to City Creek Center in Salt lake. We all headed to the food court had some yummy lunch. Then we all played on the kid play ground. We walked around and shopped a bit. We took all the kiddies to the Disney store. That took forever and a day ;) Ruger ended up getting a Bullseye stuffed animal and Cowboy boot slippers. I ended up getting some yummy smelling candles from the Yankee store. They had a sale on candle tarts so all the women were in there for a while.

I love Easter! I love that We celebrate our Savoir's Resurrection. I was in primary (I co teach the Sunbeams) and it was the middle of the lesson and they showed the video of his last week. Can you say cry baby? I'm sure the kids were like what is wrong with Sister Fraughton. I'm so grateful that My Big Brother gave his life for Me. He suffered for all our sins and know what everyone has suffered, therefore He can comfort those with every trail. I know He has been there for me, in the darkest/lightest moments and everything in-between. I LOVE all things new not like shinny new cars (though that wouldn't be bad) But, green grass, buds on tress also blossoms popping out of the ground. Of course you can't beat baby animals, a petting zoo is in our near future I'm sure.
First we had our Annual Easter Egg at Grandma and Grandpa Fraughton's. Ruger got a huge bouncing ball from Grandma & Grandpa which He loved to the point of NOTHING ELSE matters. Ruger went as far as throwing a fit when His cousin Amber tried to play with it. Spoiled much? We currently working on this, well as much as you can with an eight month old.
Then we ate a yummy dinner. Talked, laughed as always.

This last Saturday We were at Fraughton's for our annual Easter party, more about that in the next post. All the grand kids got kites during the Easter Egg Hunt. So we were all heading to the park to fly the kites.
First there is no way to rightfully describe the feelings of horror when you feel when you think/see your Child and or spouse are in danger.
Clayton and I were debating on taking Ruger or not and decided we would and Clayton went to got put Ruger in the Car. I was picking up Ruger's toys and putting the diaper bag back together when I heard a horrifying sound!! It sounded like a accident. I ran outside fearing for Ruger and Clayton's safety.
I found Clayton running into a car where the body was slumped over. I frantically searched for Ruger and found that He was already in the car. I then knowing Ruger was safe my attention went back to Clayton. He was helping the lady who was just hit. He got to her and put the car in park and started to console her. Kolten called the police. Why we waited the few minutes for the police Clayton filled me in on what went on while I was inside.
Clayton had just put Ruger in the car and turned around to only find a car hit into another, He had to jump out of the way. The Van that hit into the Lady in the car, took off. He drove to his house and hid inside. The police got there and took care of the Lady and the hunt for the man started. They brought a dog and several police officers came. They didn't find the guy right away but a few hours later we saw the man sneaking into a car that pulled outside his house. The officers came (they were hiding) and they got the guy.
So here are the Miracles/Close calls...
1. If Clayton and I hadn't debated on going and left sooner We would have been right in the line of fire.
2. My nephew Jaxen was about to cross the street but called out "I can't cross with out someone holding my hand." So he was still safely on the sidewalk and not in the street that the van speed threw. Good Mommy and Daddy moment for teaching their kids safety! Way to go Nichole and Nic.
3. Nichole was putting two car seats on a stroller and they weren't clicking in. So she had to take the extra moment to switch car seats Therefore staying safely on the side walk as the van drove right where They would have been.
4. The lady in the car who Clayton's family knows, is ok. She sustained some injuries and will be in the hospital for a while. Though seems to be on the mend.
I'm so grateful for the little things above that happened so that our family was safe. We have guardian angles watching out for us and A loving Heavenly Father keeping us safe.
